Today we got another peek at you at the doctor's office. You are certainly growing fast; 3.3kg already! You are an active little fellow, and your favourite time to remind me of this is in the middle of the night. You are quite good at kicking my ribs and kidney, but you do exercise self restraint and limit yourself to my left side.
Tomorrow I plan to pack our bags for the hospital just in case you decide to come before your due date. Part of me hopes you wait for the grandmas' arrival to make your appearance, and the other part (comprised mostly of my ribs, left kidney, and huge belly) would be thrilled if you came a bit early.
Daddy offered to take your clothes to the laundry mat to dry so at least your first time to wear clothes, they wouldn't be all crispy from air drying.
Too bad Mommy washed all your clothes together and now they all have a blue tinge to them (sigh). Daddy tried to cheer me up by pointing out it's okay, because we are having a boy - it would really only be an issue if you were a girl. I love that guy!

As of today, you officially have your very own corner of the world. Daddy faithfully spent his afternoon putting together your little bed and dresser. It is by no means a proper "nursery," but I like to think we are doing it the European way, and as you are a European baby, you will be just fine.
I so look forward to seeing your sweet little face; please come soon!

We are slowly getting ready for your arrival, my sweet little boy. I've been collecting things for you from the very moment we found out you were coming. This is one thing you'll learn about Mommy very quickly, I'm a planner.
We gave away all our baby stuff back in the States when we moved to Belgium, so we are starting all over with you. I don't mind so much... I love to thoughtfully pick out new things for you, even if Daddy doesn't always agree that you 'need' it.
We are quite a team.

No, that's not your official name, but it is what I've nicknamed you until we see your sweet little face. Though maybe, just maybe, I have a secret hope that you will grow up to be as cool as THE Han Solo.
You, my little man, are a momento of our trip to California last Christmas. You will be our only Belgian born child, which I think is pretty cool.
This picture is from May, but we get another peek at you tomorrow, and I know you've grown so much since then.
You've got some pretty awesome big brothers who are very excited to meet you. Eight more weeks; I hope and pray that you are on time, or even a tad bit early.
